WISH Drop in Centre Society

Run for WISH because every woman deserves access to opportunities to make free, healthy, and positive choices. 

Our mission is to improve the health, safety, and well-being of women involved in Vancouver’s street-based sex trade.  The WISH Drop-In Center Society operates in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, often referred to as Canada’s poorest neighborhood.  For more than 35 years, WISH has been a refuge for women whose lives are characterized by trauma, violence, addiction and extreme poverty. Each day and night, approximately 350 women come through our doors for support and services. 

By supporting WISH, you will support women who are often denied both their basic needs as well as a sense of dignity and self-worth. At the WISH Drop-In Centre, women can meet their basic needs: safety, hot meals, clothing, personal care items, and hot showers, along with access to health care, referrals, and supports, all in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
