My Story…
My name is Kristen and I am the Executive Director at Sasamat Outdoor Centre. I am excited to be supporting this fundraising initiative organized by our Community Board of Directors. All proceeds go to vulnerable families through Sasamat's camping subsidy program. Families that require financial assistance with camp fees will receive support to make a summer camp experience possible for their children. It is our belief that there should be no barriers to summer camp and this is one of the ways we make that possible. Your support is so deeply appreciated, thank you.
A little bit about me..I have been with Sasamat since 2014, formerly in the program department as the Program Director. Camping has always been a part of my life, and I would certainly say I am one of those summer camp "lifers". I love the outdoors, do not particularly like snakes, and have a real fondness for great food (particularly fancy cheese!). Hope to see you out on race day to support our families!

Sasamat Outdoor Centre offers a variety of programs such as Day Camp, Resident Camp, Family Camp and Facility Rentals for Community and School Groups.Sasamat Outdoor Centre offers campers the opportunity to participate in a wide range of outdoor activities in a safe, supervised environment and provides a peaceful wilderness setting with easy access to the hiking trails and recreational opportunities of Belcarra Regional Park and scenic Indian Arm Provincial Park. All programs are geared to the age and ability of the individual and to the interests of the group.
