My Story…
I remember that my parents, as new immigrants to Canada, struggled to teach me English and were burdened by how it was out of their control. Living just above the poverty line meant paid tutoring was entirely out of the question. I wish that LBN’s programs were around when I was in Elementary school as my family and I would have benefited greatly. It is because of this that I am so passionate about helping LBN grow as an organization so that we can share our impacts with more children, and do our part to combat societal inequality. What truly sets LBN apart is how accessible our free programs are, but we are in need of funding to meet the ever-growing demand for our programs.
Description
Your donation allows the Learning Buddies Network to do our work! Funding pays our dedicated staff to do the many things necessary to allow the classroom learning to take place. Help us to build self-esteem and inspire a love of learning in children who would not otherwise receive the academic support they need. Our Little Buddies appreciate the program, and we love to see the light turned on and the happiness our Little Buddies experience with true achievement! We have a waitlist of schools who are requesting our services, so the more we raise the more we can do. Any race participant who raises at least $200 will have the registration fee refunded.
