My Story…
Singing in Elektra has been a great joy, ever since first auditioning in 2009. Internalizing and sharing music with you-- as part of a shimmering cloud of voices-- is a special kind of magic. And like so many in the arts, it's been hard cancelling events and not knowing when we can safely gather together again.
But it's not just about rehearsing and performing. Did you know that Elektra is committed to celebrating women composers? And mentoring young singers? These are just some of many reasons why I'm proudly lacing up and literally stepping out of my comfort zone, to run in support!
I'm training for a solo 10k on August 25 and channelling the same focus and heart that goes into the music Elektra does— and that we really miss sharing with you. These are tough days for many, so please don't feel pressure to donate at this time. But if you can pledge $10 for my 10k, I'd be thrilled-- it really does help and lets us plan for brighter days ahead. Thank you!
