My Story…
It’s the 6th annual #bekindtoyourmind fundraiser for mental health, but things are a little different this time around. Our current circumstances not only present major obstacles for those already living with mental health disorders but have affected all of us more than ever as we’ve had to adjust to a new normal. We know that mental health conditions do not discriminate, and 2020 has brought no shortage of uncertainty, stress, and overwhelm. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In light of COVID-19, I sadly will not be selling tickets to a pub night where I can run around with trays of tequila shots. Instead, I’ve decided to sign up for the Scotiabank virtual half-marathon to torture myself for a good cause. I'm excited to be working with St. Paul's Foundation again this year and am asking those around me to consider donating no more than what they'd spend on a coffee. A little from many goes a long way. More importantly, I hope to help you feel a little less alone if you are facing something or empower.
