My Story…
Thanks for coming to my donation page! I am running for Mission Possible.
Mission Possible is a community development and social enterprise non-profit in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. It runs an employment readiness program which assists those who have been unable to work due to addiction, mental health challenges, incarceration or a myriad of other potential issues to regain employment skills and return to meaningful, paid work. It offers coaching and training to program participants and seeks to renew participants’ sense of dignity and purpose.
As many of you know, Mission Possible is a cause close to my heart. Their fundraising has been hard hit by the pandemic, and I am hoping that donations for this run will make a very small dent in the potential shortfall they are facing. I will think of you all as I sweat my way through a run for which I am not prepared!
Description
Join the Mission Possible team in running to support our friends in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. All of the funds raised create employment training, support and transitional jobs for those experiencing barriers to employment.
