My Story…
I had the most amazing opportunity to complete my Social Justice Practicum in my Masters in Counselling Psychology Program at Mission Possible this year. I have experienced immense amount of humility, compassion & awareness around the barriers individuals in the Vancouver DTES face with securing employment. Working professionally in a vocational rehabilitation capacity for 8 years, I am passionate about what work affords us as human beings. Further, I have found the COVID-19 pandemic has also cultivated a humbling awareness around the gravity that work plays in our lives. Work provides us connection to others, financial security & most of all a sense of purpose, accomplishment and self-actualization. I am privileged everyday in my work and throughout my SJP to see individuals work towards meaningful employment & unlock their untapped potential. I will be running on behalf of MP & I encourage if you have any additional funds to spare to donate to this amazing organization.
Description
