These are strange and challenging times for all of us – and we can’t forget the most vulnerable in our city. One in five children in Vancouver lives in poverty. That’s why the CLICK team is running in the 2020 Scotiabank Virtual 5k Run. We are going to run on the streets of Vancouver to raise funds for grassroots programs that make a critical difference in the lives of children living in poverty in our city.
I believe that every kid counts in Vancouver and all kids deserve a shot at a bright future. Since we launched, our volunteer team has raised over $800,000 and directed it to more than 500 programs. With your help we can reach even more!
Description
One in five children in Vancouver lives in poverty. Inner city kids have as much potential to succeed as any child - all they need is extra support like meals, safe out-of-school care, and access to opportunities in sports, camp, art and leadership. By walking or running for CLICK, you're providing this support and making a difference in the lives of Vancouver kids in need. This June, walk or run for CLICK and say "Every Kid Counts!”
