My Story…
I helped start Learning Buddies with my mum more than a decade ago! I no longer volunteer but she has remained extremely committed to growing the program since then. It started with one class of 30 students, and now it reaches more than 200 kids in the Greater Vancouver area.
Whenever my mum isn't working as a doctor I can be fairly confident she is meeting with other volunteers, writing grants, or simply problem solving the current issue LBN is facing. She's put on large fundraising events at our house, at huge personal cost and effort, just to be scrupulous with the organizations money. My mum's dedication is unparalleled, and I am running this 10K in support of the organization, and all my mum's tireless efforts growing and maintaining LBN!

Your donation allows the Learning Buddies Network to do our work! Funding pays our dedicated staff to do the many things necessary to allow the classroom learning to take place. Help us to build self-esteem and inspire a love of learning in children who would not otherwise receive the academic support they need. Our Little Buddies appreciate the program, and we love to see the light turned on and the happiness our Little Buddies experience with true achievement! We have a waitlist of schools who are requesting our services, so the more we raise the more we can do. Any race participant who raises at least $200 will have the registration fee refunded.
