For participating in 2020 Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5K

My Story…

Shirley and I met in the starting line up at the Historic Fort Langley Half Marathon on February 22, 2015. We had both just started running 5k events and we were both registered for the 5k and were supposed to meet our friends but they were no show. We were meant to meet each other that day. We have stayed in touch since then and have become friends over the years and have completed a number of swimming, running and triathlon events sometimes together and sometimes in different cities, on different dates and at different times. Our passion for keeping active every day is what keeps us moving forward together on our journey through life. Shirley is an amazing Autism Warrior Mom that has spent the last 2 decades of her life supporting, encouraging, training and teaching her son, Darren.
