My father was a teacher in the Lower Mainland for over 30 years, and constantly reminded me of the major impact school and extra-curricular activities have on youth, particularly those with less.
The pandemic has impacted all of us but it has disproportionately hit our lower income communities the hardest. Inner city kids need the support of community organizations and programs now more than ever. I'm running to raise money for community programs that I believe make a difference in the lives of every kid they engage with.
Every kid deserves the opportunity to be great. Let's help them do it.
Description
One in five children in Vancouver lives in poverty. Inner city kids have as much potential to succeed as any child - all they need is extra support like meals, safe out-of-school care, and access to opportunities in sports, camp, art and leadership. By walking or running for CLICK, you're providing this support and making a difference in the lives of Vancouver kids in need. This June, walk or run for CLICK and say "Every Kid Counts!”
