PIRS understands that immigrant women face unique challenges. Often, they have left their support systems behind. They may come from places where women have few opportunities. Their education and training may not be recognized in Canada. On top of that, being a mother at home with young children can lead to isolation, even more so for immigrants and refugees. That is why we believe building a safe and accessible community is crucial.
