Social Media Camp now cancelled
It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel Social Media Camp 2020. When we initially made the call to pivot to a virtual event less than a week ago, the global situation was different. But as it has continued to evolve, and we see more and more people and businesses being affected by COVID-19, we really feel it is in the best interest of everyone to cancel this year’s event.
We would like to say thank you to so many of you who have stepped up in support of SMC this past week, your encouragement and kind words mean everything. We would also like to extend a big thank you to our amazing speakers who have embraced the ever-changing event as we’ve gone from Plan A, to Plan B, to Plan C and now this.
For those disappointed by the loss of our virtual event, we will be offering educational content and networking through our SMClub, launching May 1st. SMClub memberships will include access to monthly webinars, virtual networking opportunities, exclusive social media resources, and discounts to SMC pop up events in the future. This will be a place to hear from many of the speakers planned for SMC 2020 along with others. We have created a discounted rate for all of you, and you will have the option to transfer part of your registration to a one year SMClub Membership. We hope you will join our SMC community as we help each other through these trying times.

If you were not registered for SMC 2020 but are interested in joining our SMClub, please email us and when registration opens we will let you know.

Nicole Smith
Nicole Smith is the founder of Flytographer, a global marketplace that connects travelers with local photographers for fun vacation photo shoots. She left a 13-year career in marketing at Microsoft to launch Flytographer 6 years ago and has since scaled it to over 300 cities worldwide, captured over two million memories for travelers and grown to a team of 20 employees based in Victoria. Flytographer has been called “The Future of Travel Photography” by Conde Nast Traveler, “An Ingenious Travel Hack” by Oprah.com and today, her photographers capture a memory every minute all over the world. Nicole is passionate about supporting female founders and serves on the board of The Forum for Women Entrepreneurs.
