Together we can make a difference!
Once again the Edwards family is putting together a team to complete the 10k walk portion of the Manitoba Marathon. Due to current travel restrictions it will be Jim, Phil and Val completing the walk for our team in Winnipeg. Michelle, Peter and Matt will be doing their walk in Toronto. “Team MMP” is walking in honour of Michael, Maryellen and Peter. The Marathon was so important to them and we want to carry on their legacy.
Due to covid, the 2020 Marathon will be "virtual" and we will walk our 10k through the forests of Ft. Whyte Alive sometime between Oct. 11 and Nov. 11.
This year the Marathon is partnering with the United Way. All Funds raised will go directly to programs and agencies that provide people with intellectual disabilities the support they need to live, work and thrive. Overhead costs are all covered through special events and grants.

We can make sure people have the chance to be more independent and active in our community—from learning to take the bus to making life-long friends, there is so much we can do to empower people and encourage inclusion!
