Help Laura raise money

For participating in Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon Virtual Race 2020

My Story…

Last year, I raised money for Annex Cat Rescue in memory of my kitty soulmate, Coop. This year, I am asking for your donations to help support the the cats that are currently in foster care, on the road to their happy ending. One of the things I love the most about volunteering with ACR is that we help the cats that everyone else turns away

Whether it's a cranky FeLV+ street cat that badly needs a dental surgery and to have a large mass removed (Maggie) or a kitty from a feral colony that ended up losing an arm to a cruel leg-hold trap left out for him by a neighbour (SweetPea), ACR doesn't turn away. And we can't leave out the countless other cats and kittens that have come our way, especially through the pandemic. There is always someone at ACR willing to say yes to helping - a rescuer/trapper, a foster parent, a volunteer driver, a partner vet clinic - everyone works together to save these animals that have already been failed by humans, by putting the needs of the cat first, ahead of everything else.

But none of this would be possible without the donations and support of the wider community - thank you for helping ACR! Please help us continue to save cats.

And to share some cuteness, I have included a photo of our darling foster Clementine in a post-surgery onesie. With her health issues, she might not have survived alone on the streets, and I am so grateful that she was brought into ACR.

Description

Annex Cat Rescue is dedicated to eliminating cat homelessness in Toronto. Until that time, we care for cats and kittens in a variety of ways including (but not limited to) daily feeding and colony management, medical/dental care, socializing, fostering, adopting or in the case of feral cats, spaying/neutering and returning (TNR). Now in its 23rd year, ACR remains 100% volunteer-run with 90% of monies raised helping cats in partnership with veterinarians who provide services at reduced rates.

We have a no-kill policy so cats remain in foster care until a permanent home is found.
