My Story…
This year I am excited to be running a half marathon, raising fund once again for UrbanPromise. UrbanPromise is about growing leaders from Toronto's community housing neighborhoods. It has been inspiring to see many kids grow into youth and grow into leaders through the programs offered by UrbanPromise. This organization is truly making a difference in the lives of many kids/youth throughout Toronto.

Children living in Toronto Community Housing want what any kid wants...
>To be known, accepted and valued.
>To become just like their role models.
>To dream.
They're up against some tough realities...
>material poverty
>lack of resources
>destructive cycles
>broken families
>lure of drugs
>threat of violence
Which can make them feel unworthy, defeated, angry, hopeless.
BUT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE HOPE, AND EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW JESUS-THE AUTHOR OF HOPE ITSELF.
