Help Julia raise money

Hi Everyone,

For those who really know me, this may come as a surprise because I am really, really, really shy for asking people for donations. But this year, as I witness how people are impacted by the epidemic and are unable to receive the much needed support & counselling due to their financial restrictions, my heart goes out to them.   This is my way of making a difference in their lives and in our community.  

As some of you may know, I became a part-time staff at the Living Water Counselling Centre (LWCC) 泉源輔導中心 in Summer 2020.   Although I have long known LWCC for the wonderful work they do, it wasn’t until my involvement that I became so deeply touched and impressed by their compassion for their clients and their excellent work in the community.  

During the epidemic, LWCC has been offering most of their programs free of charge. More funding is needed in order to continue offering these free services in our community. This is the reason that I chose to help fundraise by participate in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon Virtual Race 2020’s fundraising campaign. 

Our mission is to build a caring and healthy community with physical, mental, spiritual, and social wellness through partnerships with social services networks, Christian communities, and multi-disciplinary professionals.

Funds raised will be used to provide counselling/psychotherapy services, public psycho-education programs, spiritual formation groups, caregiver and volunteer trainings to support individuals, couples, and families of Chinese ethnics with life situations, mental health and relationship challenges to cope during pandemic time.
