Hello Family and Friends:
One of the most important gifts you can give to a child is the gift of good health. That is why I am running with my dad in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge, so I can help raise funds for Patronato Pro Niños.
PPN provides medical and dental services for children with serious health issues in the countryside around San Miguel de Allende.
Every little bit helps.

Description
For ten years, AMISTAD CANADA (AC) has been working to improve the lives of Mexicans-in-need through health and education Projects delivered in partnership with fourteen Mexican NGOs.
Projects include: mobile medical-dental service to remote communities; healthy school meals; underwriting medical care for sick and disabled children; supplemental classes in subjects such as literacy, computer skills, English and the arts; primary to post-secondary scholarships; a school for the Deaf; and a therapy centre for children with various disabilities.
AC participation in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge will provide Mexican-Canadians, and other runners who are attached to Mexico, an opportunity to support these initiatives.
