My Story…
Once again this year I am participating in the Scotiabank Waterfront Walk/Run but this year it is a "virtual" event. That does not mean I will be sitting behind a computer screen. In fact I have registered for the 10k walk rather than the usual 5k and I have upped my fundraising goal to $1,500. With the Covid19 challenges, the great community programs at St. Andrew's are more important than ever. The Out of the Cold program is serving a take away breakfast on Tuesday and Friday mornings and is preparing for what we can do for our Monday night supper in the winter. Other programs are adapting and continuing to reach out to our community. I hope you will join me with your financial support and help us to continue these great programs.
Description
via Outreach Ministries of St. Andrew's Church in the downtown Toronto, including "Out of the Cold" serving over 5,000 meals a year, the "Better English Cafe" which offers conversational English for newcomers; the "Heart of the City" speaker series, which addresses contemporary ethics and culture; and the " Music at St. Andrew's" series. All events funded by the Scotiabank Toronto Marathon are offered for the benefit of the wider community rather than the congregation.
