My Story…
Yes, it is me again trying to raise money for the Dr. Jay Children's Grief Centre. I have written to you at this time of year for the past many years and you have always been a great supporter. I hope that you will be able to help the Centre this year when its work is needed by kids even more than usual.
It is hard to even force yourself to think of how hard it must be for a child to have lost a parent or a sibling at any time but this year when those kids are isolated from friends and family due to the pandemic it is even worse. The work of the Centre to help these kids is essential and to keep this work going we must raise a lot of money. There is no government funding for grief counseling which means that it is only private donations that allow the Centre to provide help to children who are grieving.
I sincerely hope that you will agree with me that the service offered by the Dr. Jay Children's Grief Centre is one that you will want to support again this year. And by the way that is me with THE Dr. Jay in my profile picture!
Thank you.
Description
Please help support The Dr. Jay Children’s Grief Centre, that exists to provide support to grieving children and youth. The Centre provides counselling to children, youth and families (0-21) who are living with the dying and death of a sibling, parent or primary caregiver, or who are living with terminal illness themselves. We help to build capacity of individuals, families and communities and support one another in grief, as well as to maintain connections with loved ones who have died.
