My Story…
I'm not a runner... I'm a casual jogger and I'm not made for running. But I'm doing it this year to honour my awesome friend Sunny Wong who passed away at only 42 years of age earlier this year. He was a fighter until the very end and as his name implied an eternal optimist that touched so many lives with his humour and smile. I'll be running as a team to raise money for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada as the Scotiabank Charity Challenge is one that Sunny was hoping to run in this year as well.
Description
I am changing the world while achieving my personal best by joining The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training! My fundraising will help explore new frontiers in blood cancer treatments while I discover new reserves of strength and performance in myself.
Did you know:
That an estimated 128,000 people are affected by blood cancers in Canada?
That someone is diagnosed every 23 minutes?
And that every 72 minutes someone will die?
I want to do my part to help change these statistics.
Unfortunately, too many of us have had cancer touch our lives and we all want to know how we can help loved ones who are battling cancer. We’re not all doctors or researchers, but we can all do our part to help.
I can train. You can donate.
