My Story…
My parents have been faithfully serving with UrbanPromise in Toronto for the last 17 years. This year I have chosen to enter the 5K portion of this great event, and on October 17th I will be joining my father to Run for Promise and support the beautiful ministry that UrbanPromise provides in the City of Toronto. Please join me in supporting this cause, and all that God is doing in the communities of Toronto and the global impact that can further be reached through the impact that UrbanPromise has.
Description
Children living in Toronto Community Housing want what any kid wants...
>To be known, accepted and valued.
>To become just like their role models.
>To dream.
They're up against some tough realities...
>material poverty
>lack of resources
>destructive cycles
>broken families
>lure of drugs
>threat of violence
Which can make them feel unworthy, defeated, angry, hopeless.
BUT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE HOPE, AND EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW JESUS-THE AUTHOR OF HOPE ITSELF.
Join The Run for Promise Team - Raise funds supporting programs where children are known, accepted and valued by positive role models, providing opportunities to dream.
