Hello,
As part of my interest to run this year, I want to take the opportunity to share the work being done with Urban Promise and to help raise funds for the great work that they do in their after school and summer programs that they do. I'm glad to have the opportunity to run with this team and hope that you can get to know the work that they do.

Children living in Toronto Community Housing want what any kid wants...
>To be known, accepted and valued.
>To become just like their role models.
>To dream.
They're up against some tough realities...
>material poverty
>lack of resources
>destructive cycles
>broken families
>lure of drugs
>threat of violence
Which can make them feel unworthy, defeated, angry, hopeless.
BUT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE HOPE, AND EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW JESUS-THE AUTHOR OF HOPE ITSELF.
