Have you heard of Urban Promise?
For us, it is a bunch of dedicated people serving in the URBAN community of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) to bring the PROMISE of hope in Jesus Christ to them.
And they need YOUR help.
Carolyn and I will be running/walking/skipping/jumping 10K in support of this organization during the month of October by raising funds to continue the work that God has purposefully and intentionally ordained.

Children living in Toronto Community Housing want what any kid wants...
>To be known, accepted and valued.
>To become just like their role models.
>To dream.
They're up against some tough realities...
>material poverty
>lack of resources
>destructive cycles
>broken families
>lure of drugs
>threat of violence
Which can make them feel unworthy, defeated, angry, hopeless.
BUT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE HOPE, AND EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW JESUS-THE AUTHOR OF HOPE ITSELF.
