My Story…
I AM NOT A RUNNER!
...But I believe in the goal and mission of UrbanPromise Toronto so much that I'm willing to make myself a little uncomfortable to be a ‘champion’ for children and youth living in Toronto Community Housing.
2020 has been a challenging year for so many, and I'm doing the UrbanPromise 5K Run for Promise to do my part in supporting the community. Please join me in reaching this goal by donating to this much needed mission. Any little bit counts and I appreciate your support.
Description
Children living in Toronto Community Housing want what any kid wants...
>To be known, accepted and valued.
>To become just like their role models.
>To dream.
They're up against some tough realities...
>material poverty
>lack of resources
>destructive cycles
>broken families
>lure of drugs
>threat of violence
Which can make them feel unworthy, defeated, angry, hopeless.
BUT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE HOPE, AND EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW JESUS-THE AUTHOR OF HOPE ITSELF.
Join The Run for Promise Team - Raise funds supporting programs where children are known, accepted and valued by positive role models, providing opportunities to dream.
