Help Angie raise money

For participating in Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon Virtual Race 2020

My Story…

I am running in memory of my friend, Sunny, who left us on April 1, 2020 after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer.  Regardless of his condition, Sunny lived up to his name and always found a way to bring a ray of sunshine to anyone that he cross path with.  His positive outlook in life and encouraging words will be remembered.

Sunny had planned to participate in this year's Scotia run and we joked about my lack of running ability.

I am hoping you will join me in fulfilling one of Sunny's wishes and help those who are currently battling cancer.

Description

I am changing the world while achieving my personal best by joining The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training!  My fundraising will help explore new frontiers in blood cancer treatments while I discover new reserves of strength and performance in myself.

Did you know:

That an estimated 128,000 people are affected by blood cancers in Canada?
That someone is diagnosed every 23 minutes?
And that every 72 minutes someone will die?

I want to do my part to help change these statistics.

Unfortunately, too many of us have had cancer touch our lives and we all want to know how we can help loved ones who are battling cancer. We’re not all doctors or researchers, but we can all do our part to help.

I can train. You can donate.
