My Story…
I am participating in this year's Soctia Run in memory of a dear friend, Sunny. Sunny passed away on April 1, 2020 after a valiant 6 year battle with cancer. Sunny always had a positive outlook on life and his optimism were contagious and it is hard not to have a smile when you are around him.
One of Sunny's wishes is to participate in the Scotia Run this year where we would've carried him on a Ricksaw to complete the race. While he may not be here with us physically, I know he is joining us in his big bear costume just the same.
Please join me in helping Sunny complete his wish and help those who are still battling cancer.
Description
I am changing the world while achieving my personal best by joining The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training! My fundraising will help explore new frontiers in blood cancer treatments while I discover new reserves of strength and performance in myself.
Did you know:
That an estimated 128,000 people are affected by blood cancers in Canada?
That someone is diagnosed every 23 minutes?
And that every 72 minutes someone will die?
I want to do my part to help change these statistics.
Unfortunately, too many of us have had cancer touch our lives and we all want to know how we can help loved ones who are battling cancer. We’re not all doctors or researchers, but we can all do our part to help.
I can train. You can donate.
