My Story…
At six weeks, my baby Mimi got meningitis and she was going down hill quickly.
She arrived at Sick Kids after spending several days in another hospital. It was terrifying, they had to revive her six times in her first night there.
I made a promise that if we made it out of Sick Kids with Mimi that I would work to fundraise for them. We co-hosted a big fundraiser for years known as 'The Fight for Independence' but after a few years away from fundraising for them it is time to step back in.
I am walking with my kids, to raise money for Sick Kids to thank them for saving Mimi fourteen years ago. Eternally grateful.
Description
Be a SickKids Warrior
The challenges the kids at SickKids face are some of the toughest: cancer, heart disease, cystic fibrosis. SickKids is always pushing the limits of what we can do for these children.
When you challenge yourself in a race, hike, hockey game, triathlon, you challenge your own limits. When you combine your fitness challenge with fundraising for SickKids, you become a SickKids Warrior. It’s a win for those kids - and the hospital that fights for them - when you fundraise on their behalf.
