My Story…
Dear Friends,
Hope you’re keeping well. I will be participating in the Annual Scotiabank Charity Run to raise money for Matthew House Toronto www.matthewhouse.ca. This year’s run will not be the same as previous years due to COVID19. I will be running with a small group of runners outdoors in observing social distancing and all necessary protocols. We hope this year's run will be as impactful as previous years in raising sufficient funds to continuous its work, especially in meeting the tremendous needs during this pandemic.
A little bit about Matthew House... it was started by Anne Woolger from her encounter with a refugee 30-years ago, after learning about his heart-wrenching story of escaping persecutions followed by a tough journey in starting a new life in Canada.

Matthew House is a community of homes that welcome, shelter and assist newly arrived refugee claimants in Toronto. Our desire is to restore refugee's dignity and hope by providing emotional and physical support in a homelike setting to help them heal from their journey and establish new lives in Canada. When we run for Matthew House, we send a message that says "my Toronto is your Toronto" for vulnerable newcomers like refugees. Join our team and help transform the lives of newly-arrived refugees.
