Help Kelly raise money

Due to COVID -19, the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon will be a virtual race this year. While it won’t be quite the same this year, your support has never been more crucial. I believe it is important for each of us to find ways to give back during this pandemic. I hope you will consider helping me to support those who work to make our community a better place.

The race will take place from October 1st – 31^st and 100% of the funds raised will go directly to charity. In 2019, runners helped to raise over $8.5 million dollars for close to 550 charities across Canada. We all run for different reasons. I will run again in the 10K for Team ACR (Annex Cat Rescue). The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon is ACR’s most important fundraiser of the year. 

ACR has provided compassionate cat rescue work in Toronto to help the most vulnerable cats in our city. A dedicated network of volunteers work tirelessly to eliminate cat homelessness in Toronto and to improve the lives of community cats (daily feeding and colony management, medical/dental care, socializing, fostering, adopting or in the case of feral cats, spaying/neutering and returning (TNR). Their work is only possible due to the generosity of donors and supporters and partnerships with veterinarians.  ACR is a 100% volunteer run, not for profit registered charity with no office or shelter, and receives no government funding. ACR has a no-kill policy so cats remain in foster care until a permanent home is found

Many thanks to the animal lovers who have supported me in the past. Winter is a harsh and cruel time of year for homeless and injured animals on our city streets.
