Hello to my fabulous supporters!
Once again, I'm lacing up the ol' running shoes to raise funds for the Refugee Support Ministry program at Islington United at this year's first ever "virtual" Scotiabank event. This will be our team's 13th consecutive year and I am in the 5k event. I would be so grateful for any and all support to help us continue our 41 year history of sponsoring and resettling individuals and families in desperate need of a new life in our wonderful country. Interested in changing the lives of others for the better in a direct and compelling way? The “Running and Walking for Refugees Team” at Islington United Church would love to have you join us. For 41 years we have sponsored refugee families and individuals worldwide. Over a 12-month period we provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment including accommodation, furnishings, clothing, food, transportation, medical care, education, employment opportunities and friendship.
