My Story…
Hi Everyone! Thanks for checking-out my fundraising page! I hope you are all keeping safe and healthy! I will once again be participating in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, my 6th time participating in this run! With everything going on in our world, it has moved to a "virtual" race this year. While part of me is extremely saddened that we won’t be able to run the streets of Toronto together, raising money for some amazing charities at the same time, I am excited to take on this individual challenge! I will be running the marathon distance (42.2km!) for the 2nd time. I will also once again be raising money for the Alzheimer Society of Toronto, a charity that as many of you know is near and dear to my family and I. My grandma suffered from dementia for several years, and unfortunately, passed away in early 2019. This year I will not only be running for her and her memory, but for all those that have family members still suffering from this terrible disease. - Ashley
Description
I’m raising money to help make Toronto a more dementia-friendly city. I am participating in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon to make that happen.
By making a donation to me today, you are helping the Alzheimer Society of Toronto provide supportive care, educational programs, and fund innovative research.
Please consider making a gift and help make this city better for those living with dementia and their families.
Thank you so much for your support!
