My Story…
I joined Matthew House staff almost 1 year ago as the settlement coordinator. Everyday I feel what a priviledge it is to get to work in an area I am so passionate about. I am doing this 10k walk for Matthew House so that the vital work of providing a warm welcome to refugees can continue. Mathew house provides emotional and physical support to help residents heal from their journey and establish new lives in Canada. I'm encouraged everyday by the amazing people who have been part of the Matthew house family!
Description
Matthew House is a community of homes that welcome, shelter and assist newly arrived refugee claimants in Toronto. Our desire is to restore refugee's dignity and hope by providing emotional and physical support in a homelike setting to help them heal from their journey and establish new lives in Canada. When we run for Matthew House, we send a message that says "my Toronto is your Toronto" for vulnerable newcomers like refugees. Join our team and help transform the lives of newly-arrived refugees.
