My Story…

Thank you to all of you for your continued support in our family's fight to find a cure for this deadly disease. Liam and Taylor's lives depend on it. The reality of it is that there is something out there that can help them but it is not available yet in Canada. The funds raised here is to help the CF community in Canada get the treatments, doctor visits therapies and other meds they need to help keep them as healthy as possible, while we fight for access to these life saving drugs. Look forward to walking/running virtually with all of you XO. Go Bears!! Go TeamCFC!!

Description

I am excited to participate in the 2020 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon with Team CFCanada through the virtual #RunYourWay4CF challenge! This event raises awareness and critical funds for cystic fibrosis (CF) research, advocacy and healthcare. 

Every week in Canada, one baby is diagnosed through newborn screening and the funds raised here are helping the almost 4,300 Canadians living with CF. My vision is to find a cure or control for this devastating genetic disease.

Thanks to our generous community, we are closer than ever to ending CF. The median age of survival in Canada for those living with CF is 52.3 years, but we still have work to do. Cystic Fibrosis Canada is continuing to fight for our CF community to gain access to life-changing medications and ensure that no one in our community is left behind.
