I am a 7 yr post-kidney transplant recipient, President of the CTA and passionate about advocating for post transplant health and our community programs. Thanks to the CTA I have met so many fabulous recipients, donors and donor families. It is though these lived experiences and stories that have helped me grow and improve my transplant health and quality of life. The encouragement of this community, both at the Games (nationally & internationally) and our Transplant Trots and other community events, that I have learned about drug side effects, nutrition, exercise, policy, medical advocacy, mental health issues, and so much more. Giving back to this community has become my passion and an opportunity to showcase what's possible when you support the CTA and our programs. We help to promote healthy lifestyle for our members and their families post transplant and bring the community together! I walk/run to demonstrate what's possible with a 2nd chance at life!
