My Story…
For the past couple of years I have been participating in the 5k run to help fundraise for an organization very dear to my heart, UrbanPromise Toronto. With everything that has been happening in our world - from the racial injustices to the Covid-19 pandemic - walking along alongside the families connected with UrbanPromise is especially vital during these times. Although participating in the 5k this year will look different due to the Covid-19 guidelines, the motivation behind it will not. Thank you for journeying alongside me as I strive to meet my goal of $2000! I RUN FOR PROMISE!!!!
Love,
Ayesha
Description
Children living in Toronto Community Housing want what any kid wants...
>To be known, accepted and valued.
>To become just like their role models.
>To dream.
They're up against some tough realities...
>material poverty
>lack of resources
>destructive cycles
>broken families
>lure of drugs
>threat of violence
Which can make them feel unworthy, defeated, angry, hopeless.
BUT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE HOPE, AND EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW JESUS-THE AUTHOR OF HOPE ITSELF.
Join The Run for Promise Team - Raise funds supporting programs where children are known, accepted and valued by positive role models, providing opportunities to dream.
