My Story…
I'm back in Toronto after 10 years enjoying post-retirement in Stratford and now delighted to join fellow York retirees in the Scotiabank Charity Virtual Marathon to raise funds for graduate student awards at York University. Our goal is to raise enough money over the next several years to support three annual awards for promising students pursing graduate education. While I'll be walking rather than running the 5 km, I am hopeful that the support of family and friends will put a wind at my back and together we will do our bit to encourage promising young graduate students. I would be truly grateful for your sponsorship. Please note that tax receipts will be issued for all contributions of $20 or more. Cheers !!!
Description
Please support graduate scholarships at York University by registering to walk or run 5 km in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon on October 18. One of YURA's major activities is raising funds for graduate scholarships. On the day of the race, our volunteers will walk or run as a group, and then meet for lunch. We will have fun, and at the same time help the student community in an impactful and meaningful way through recruiting sponsors. To learn how to register to walk or run on October 18 for YURA, please contact Ian Greene at igreene@yorku.ca, or 416-571-8742.
