My Story…
On October 24th I will be participating in a 5k to fundraise for UrbanPromise Toronto.
UPT is important to me because it's where i first built the foundation of my relationship with God. Not only that, but I developed a passion for walking alongside the youth of this generation on a long term basis. Due to the Covid-19 guidelines, the 5k will look a little different this year, however the purpose and motivation behind it will not. This year I need 20 people to donate $50 to reach my goal of $1000! Thank you for going on this journey with me.
Description
Children living in Toronto Community Housing want what any kid wants...
>To be known, accepted and valued.
>To become just like their role models.
>To dream.
They're up against some tough realities...
>material poverty
>lack of resources
>destructive cycles
>broken families
>lure of drugs
>threat of violence
Which can make them feel unworthy, defeated, angry, hopeless.
BUT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE HOPE, AND EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW JESUS-THE AUTHOR OF HOPE ITSELF.
Join The Run for Promise Team - Raise funds supporting programs where children are known, accepted and valued by positive role models, providing opportunities to dream.
