Hi, I am running for all the amAZING YOUNGER PEOPLE OF LA MANZANILLA MEXICO WHO DESERVE A CHANCE TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION. LA MANZANILLA IS A MAGICAL SMALL TOWN WHERE I SPEND ABOUT 5 MONTHS A YEAR. I SPONSOR A LOVELY YOUNG WOMAN TO HELP HER COMPLETE HER EDUCATION AND FOLLOW HER DREAMS. THANKS FOR ANY HELP. LOVE CASEY
La Catalina Educational Foundation is a Mexican non-profit organization aiming to raise the educational and economic level of the local people in La Manzanilla, Jalisco.
Description
For ten years, AMISTAD CANADA (AC) has been working to improve the lives of Mexicans-in-need through health and education Projects delivered in partnership with fourteen Mexican NGOs.
Projects include: mobile medical-dental service to remote communities; healthy school meals; underwriting medical care for sick and disabled children; supplemental classes in subjects such as literacy, computer skills, English and the arts; primary to post-secondary scholarships; a school for the Deaf; and a therapy centre for children with various disabilities.
AC participation in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge will provide Mexican-Canadians, and other runners who are attached to Mexico, an opportunity to support these initiatives.
