Help Drew raise money

I am participating in the Scotiabank Marathon again this year in support of Lumenus Community Services, an agency created by the merger of four agencies. My wife, Lydia, was named CEO of the new merged agency after successfully executing the four way merger of Skylark (her original agency), Etobicoke Children’s Agency, Adventure Place and The Griffin Centre. This was accomplished with great effort and the merger was completed April 1^st, 2020. In the middle of a pandemic, no less. Needless to say, Lydia, and many others, have been working extremely diligently to complete the merger, integrate the four agencies resulting in the creation of the new agency, Lumenus. The work has been well worth it as Lumenus now has the capability to offer full life services to youth and families that need mental health services through direct counselling or through the various walk in clinics that offer immediate services to those in need.

The marathon this year is virtual due to the pandemic. I will be walking with my son Nigel throughout the month of October to raise much needed funds for Lumenus to support the many ways in which the agency assists those in need. My goal this year is to log up to 10k in walks with Nigel. He has participated in the past marathons in the 5k walk and has actually completed about 3k of walking each year. The other 2k he has been chauffeured along in his stroller. This year will be a challenge for him, but I am sure he is up to it!

Please consider donating to my walk. Last year I helped raise nearly $40,000 for Skylark. This year we hope to raise even more. Personally, I am hoping to raise $10,000 for the agency.
