My Story…
Merylie and I are walking a third time as the Houston Team with the Holy Trinity Refugee Committee, but this time the team includes all five of our grandkids: Lucy, Milo, Charlotte, Penelope and Simon.
The Refugee Committee will need $50,000 to support the refugees we expect to arrive in the next few months. The Houston Team hopes to raise $7,000 of that. Thank you so much for any help you can give.
Description
Our Refugee Committee invites you run or walk to support newly arrived refugees. Since 1991, we have sponsored and provided financial and moral support to around 135 refugees fleeing persecution in countries such as Afghanistan, Colombia, El Salvador, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq and Rwanda. Today, they are making positive contributions to our society, both economically and socially.
We are currently sponsoring a woman from Iraq and are expecting a man from Eritrea this year. We need your help raising funds so that we may support them. If you raise over $1000.00, we will reimburse your registration fees.
