You are warmly invited to an annual exciting sport event which many of you have been trained for: the Scotiabank Virtual Marathon in October. The actual running-walking-hiking is based on honour system and occurs during the month of October 2020, where ever you may be.
We are encouraging you to donate to our team

The Virtual Marathon is a charity event to raise money for the Children’s Art Foundation in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Through our partner AMISTAD CANADA, all registrations and donations through the event will be confirmed with a canadian tax receipt.
Children’s Art Foundation is a registered non profit organization since 2010. It works to bring literacy to improver the lives of children through art. Contact: artedelosninos@gmail.com

Description
For ten years, AMISTAD CANADA (AC) has been working to improve the lives of Mexicans-in-need through health and education Projects delivered in partnership with fourteen Mexican NGOs.
Projects include: mobile medical-dental service to remote communities; healthy school meals; underwriting medical care for sick and disabled children; supplemental classes in subjects such as literacy, computer skills, English and the arts; primary to post-secondary scholarships; a school for the Deaf; and a therapy centre for children with various disabilities.
AC participation in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge will provide Mexican-Canadians, and other runners who are attached to Mexico, an opportunity to support these initiatives.
