Our story…
The growing concerns about COVID-19 are certainly prevalent in the media, social conversations, and the thoughts of most Torontonians. Many individuals and families are faced with worry, anxiety, and other mental health challenges many without resources for help - that’s where Lumenus steps in.
During the peak of the pandemic, Adventure Place, Griffin Centre, The Etobicoke Children’s Centre and Skylark Children, Youth and Families created one integrated continuum of care and expertise called Lumenus Community Services. The vision of Lumenus is to provide excellent, accessible and integrated mental health, developmental and community services where every client has the opportunity to be seen, be heard and to be well.
We are currently seeing increased anxiety of children and parents from the impact of COVID-19 and now with schools opening, we anticipate a spike in demand for mental health counselling services.
This year the community needs you more than ever! For the entire month of October, runners will have the flexibility of choosing a date and time to finish their race and their fundraising goal.
Support #TeamLumenus, help us reach our goal of $40,000. Funds raised will provide free counselling services and will help ensure no family is turned away. Together we can build a brighter future
