20 years ago, 7 strangers connected at one place - UrbanPromise Toronto!
Now here we are, forming a relay marathon team to Run for Promise:

We are running 6km each on 1 day in October from all over the world - Ireland, America, Australia and Canada!
We are running because we believe in the amazing ministry and work of UrbanPromise Toronto and the impact it has on reaching children and youth with the love of Jesus.
We are running because each of us was impacted by the time we spent there and the people we met.
We are Running for Promise.
Description
Children living in Toronto Community Housing want what any kid wants...
>To be known, accepted and valued.
>To become just like their role models.
>To dream.
They're up against some tough realities...
>material poverty
>lack of resources
>destructive cycles
>broken families
>lure of drugs
>threat of violence
Which can make them feel unworthy, defeated, angry, hopeless.
BUT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE HOPE, AND EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW JESUS-THE AUTHOR OF HOPE ITSELF.
