Raise money for KidSport Greater Victoria (licensed local chapter of KidSport Canada)
Across the country, KidSport’s mission is to ensure that ALL kids have opportunity to participate in organized sport alongside their peers and positive adult role models, regardless of financial situation. We do this by removing the financial barrier that keeps some kids and teens from getting involved: covering season of sport registration fees for those 18 years and under living in poverty. KidSport Canada is a national charitable organization comprised of 11 provincial/territorial chapters. Sport BC operates the program in British Columbia through 41 community-based chapters. KidSport Greater Victoria is the largest chapter in the province, and among the largest in the country; all funds raised locally are spent locally.
Annually, KidSport Greater Victoria provides up to $400,000 in registration fees to as many as 1,400 children and youth living in financial need within the CRD. Your donation to KidSport enables kids and youth to access the benefits of organized sport including community connection, leadership, fair play, friendship, cooperation, and much more. Over the last 18 years, KidSport Greater Victoria has proudly supported over 12,000 local kids with over $2.77 million in season of sport registration fees – giving kids in need a chance to participate in organized sport of their choice.
KidSport will issue tax receipts for donations of $20.00 and over – Thanks for your support!
