Raise money for Crisis Nursery
The Crisis Nursery is a ten-bed, 24-7 community home to kids age 0-12 whose families are in crisis or have no safe childcare alternatives when they need respite. The Crisis Nursery also has a 24-hour emergency crisis line for families to call for support. Families often call the Crisis Nursery when they are in a very dark space, and feel they can’t parent safely unless they get a break. Families use the Nursery when they face medical issues, domestic violence, sexual assault, family conflict, homelessness, addictions, mental health breakdown, post-partum depression, food insecurity or high stress. The Crisis Nursery keeps kids safe while families take the time they need to rest, make decisions and find resources, and by doing this we preserve the family. Our ten-bed facility is full most of the time, with stays anywhere from two hours to a month. We serve between 750-1000 children every year. In order to operate the Crisis Nursery, we fundraise $300,000 a year.
