My Story…
I wanted to let you know that I’m running the VIRTUAL Yorkville run this year on September 19th in support of GEM www.girlsementorship.com
I’m trying to raise 2K (which might be a tall ask in this climate) but I’m trying anyway.
I’m running because women and girls have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19 and too many of the girls in our program have lost loved ones in the first wave. Our girls are marginalized, racialized youth from low income areas and they need our help.
I’m emailing all the amazing women and men I know to ask if they will support. My run page is below.

I am running for Girls E-Mentorship (GEM), a top 100 rated charity offering a research-based mentorship program where high school girls facing socioeconomic challenges will breakthrough barriers, build professional skills, and are afforded an equal opportunity to impact Canada’s future workforce.
70% of applicants to GEM are turned away each year due to lack of funding. Your support will invest in equal opportunity for girls to create social change and make an economic impact.
