Our story…
Kim Baccino passed away on March 9, 2013 at the age of 45. In June 2011, Kim was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Melanoma in her lymph nodes after finding a lump in her thigh. Kim had a Stage 1 tumor removed in her lower back 6 years prior and all was thought to be fine. After a courageous two-year battle that included countless doctor visits, numerous treatment plans and trial drugs, various surgeries, and much prayer and hope, Kim succumbed to the illness. Kim was an amazing mother to her three children ages 16, 13, and 9, loving wife, and true friend to all who knew her. She lived for her family and friends and was passionate about making memories for them. She was vibrant, very outgoing and had the innate ability to make you feel like you were her long-time friend even after brief conversations or meeting her for the first time. When Kim was diagnosed with Stage IV, she became passionate about Melanoma awareness and raised money for the Melanoma Research Foundation.
