Tree Shaker Mountain Bike Challenge

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID we have had to make some changes to the format to the race. We will be doing a rolling start and riders will ride 4 (solo only) or 6 (solo and duo) timed laps. We ask that, when not racing, participants wear masks and socially distance. There will be no event component to this race. Packet pick up will be the week before and medal pick up the week after. We will not have day of registration.

Come and challenge your skills and stamina at the Treekshaker Mountain Bike Challenge! Things will look a little different this year at Treeshaker but we are excited for you to join us as we wrap up summer by riding in either a 4 or 6-lap distance challenge. Individuals or pairs will ride 4 or 6 laps as fast as they can on our flowy trails for a chance to win epic bragging rights, cool swag and shiny medals! So grab your masks, canopies, camp chairs, bikes and helmets and come early to grab a spot near the finish line (six feet from the next site!)! Please be sensible and practice social distancing and wear a mask when not racing.

GENERAL UPDATES

• We will be doing a rolling start and riders will ride 4 (solo only) or 6 (solo and duo) timed laps.
• There will be no event component and no day of registration, packet pick up or awards. Packet pick up will be drive through the week before and medal pick up will happen the week after. We ask that participants leave immediately after the race.
• Start times will be in a wave format between 8a and 9a and participants will pre-sign up for a wave at registration. We will take 30 participants a wave (duos will count as one when they take a wave slot) and waves are based on typical average lap time. Participants will go out 10 seconds apart. Please do not approach the start line before your wave time.
• Please wear masks when not racing and practice social distancing.

WHAT IF I ALREADY REGISTERED

• If you registered for the 3 hour race, you will automatically be placed in the 4 lap category
• If your registered for the 6 hour race (duo or solo), you will automatically be placed in the 6 lap category
• Please let us know if you’d like to change categories.
• You will need to select your start time. To do this

SCHEDULE
Thursday, September 3rd:
8:30-9:30a: Packet pick up at the Adventure Road Parking Area (only available for those registered before 9/2)

Friday, September 4th:
4-6p: Packet pick up at the Adventure Road Parking Area (for all bibs)
Come pre ride the course and get some practice after 4p! Please remember there is a $6 entry fee for nonmembers on regular days at the Greenway. That fee will not apply on race day.

Saturday, September 5th:
7:00a: Parking Opens
8:00a – Wave 1
8:15a – Wave 2
8:30a – Wave 3
8:45a – Wave 4
9a – Last participants can start
3p – Last lap opportunity

** Register by August 24th to be guaranteed a race t shirt!

REFUND & WEATHER POLICY
Race registration is non-refundable. More than two weeks out you may transfer your race registration to another competitor or to another Greenway race of equal or lesser value. All transfers are at the discretion of the Race Director.

Our events run rain or shine unless there is severe weather. While we never want to cancel a race, in situations such as tornado warnings, thunderstorms, heavy and persistent rain etc., we will need to cancel. Should we cancel you will be notified via social media, our website, and email. Should we cancel there will be no refunds as that money has already been put toward the race.
