To produce and prepare the race bibs, etc. for those already registered, online registration will close on April 12th 2023 at 11:59pm. Race registration is still available on Thursday/ Friday April 13/14th from 10am-6pm at Sole Science 627 Maitland St London On and the morning of the race, or by dropping off a race registration to Sole Science Wed thru Friday. DAY OF REGISTRATION IS POSSIBLE BUT MUST BE DONE AT LEAST 1/2 HOUR BEFORE THE START OF THAT DISTANCE.There is a link to an offline registration half way down the Race Roster reg/info page or in the store. The annual ‘Run for Retina Research’ is an event developed to raise funds for research at the Ivey Eye Institute in London Ontario. Thousands in our community and beyond suffer from genetic retina eye disorders such as Retinitis Pigmentosis, Best’s Disease, Usher Syndrome, Coat’s Disease, Age Related Macular Degeneration and Stargardt’s Disease, a juvenile form of Macular Degeneration.
The impact of developing Macular Degeneration, at any age, is the devastation of
the loss of personal independence and activity level as a result of this cruel impairment. The visual world gradually diminishes into a vague blur, making ordinary daily activities challenging or for some, impossible.

Course Information
All races start and finish at Springbank Gardens.
All courses are comprised of routes that use London’s scenic park system and fitness trails.
All 1/2 marathon and 10K runners will proceed North/East along the river until they reach the turnaround in Gibbons Park (1/2M), and Harris Park (10K) returning to Springbank Gardens on the same route (where the 10K finishes and the 1/2M continues West).
1/2M runners continue West from Springbank Gardens, along the river into Springbank Park making a loop down past the dam and around the west end of Springbank Park, back to the roadway along the river following the same return route back East to Springbank Gardens.
5K and 2.5K runners will head out along the path toward Springbank Park to their respective turnarounds and come back to the finish at Springbank gardens. Junior 1K runners will head up into the Civic garden complex make a loop and come back to the finish.
